Input Parameters
Parameters are loaded in the monitor with the free software. The process is
easy and includes a step-by-step guide. The PC or laptop is connected to
unit with the RS232 setup cable. USB and Ethernet adapters are available |
Install Sensor
Octavis is designed to be permanently mounted on a pump, motor, spindle,
or fan. The monitor has to be mounted in a radial direction to the axis of
the shaft rotation. The vibration transmission rate can be checked with an
impulse tester. |
Teach Baseline
After mounting the monitor, press the Teach button. Octavis will learn
the reference baseline for normal operating conditions. The early warning
alarm (yellow) and critical alarm (red) will trigger if there is a large
change from the baseline. |
